I know my American Idol ‘stuff!’

When you doubt yourself, there’s usually more TO it…

She is My Idol.
She is My Idol.

I’m not being an “I told you so” person… but let me just say this, about THAT. Just bear with me here… Last year, I predicted Kris Allen would win, mainly because he fit all the American Idol criteria.  He WAS the all around perfect, “American Idol!”

This year, I’ve been predicting Crystal would win, from the first time I saw her. Reason being, she was  ‘natural, unaffected and true to herself, and to us.’  Never did you see her hold up her fingers to mimick the numbers of the phone line that Ryan Seacrest recited to reach her!  Not once.  She was an ‘underground performer.’  Someone that may have played at subway level, and was PROUD of it!  She has the most soul out of any performer I think I’ve EVER seen, on American Idol.  Up there with Fantasia singing Summertime, if you’ll remember…

Last week- I admit it! I got nervous! Lee, … was outstanding, like the dark horse that rounds the corner.  I couldn’t believe it.  I was doubtful of Crystal’s victory!  He was THAT good!

Tonight- I realized how fickle I’d been last week, letting myself doubt the front runner.  She is an amazing woman, mother, singer, talent.  I almost feel honored to have seen her from the onstart.  My only fear is that she’s not a ‘teen idol.’  Will that stand in her way?  The fact that she’s a ‘mom’ first?  I honestly don’t know how America will vote- but MY vote goes to the woman who stands true. Crystal Bowersox.  She’s MY PICK.  If I can be proud of an artist?  So can my kids.  That to me, is the equation, of an American Idol.

I really love Crystal, I also foretold that shes gonna bag home the title. Lee is predictably the winner, although hes my favorite.
