Its All About Risk-Taking! Thinking back…

Looking back over this year, I realize how risky everything I did was!

Just a note to let you know that I'm thinking about you.  Life this year for me, has taken so many twists and turns… that at times I feel like my head is spinning!

As the end of the year approaches, and I look back, I can summarize by saying, I'm either one 'strong son of a gun,' or 'one crazy bitch' that was completely out of control!

I sent one kid to a new college for the first time, sold our house for above market value, by accident– left that kid in Iona, picked up 3 of the other kids and moved them from NY to Charlotte while they were still in Middle and High School, … left another one behind to Finish college, said ''goodbye and thank you,'' to NYC's- CBS, "FRESH 102.7,"- all without having a plan!  So, which one of the above descriptions do I fit?  Most of my friends thought the latter.

Got here, rented a house in a hurry, grabbed a part time job with Greater Media's, "1079 The Link," and then found out, I got LUCKY, with the school district!  Don't most people move somewhere BASED on the school district?  I'm so fortunate, because everything happened so quickly, and was all a blurrrrrr……

That was July 1st- 5 months later I'm back with CBS, working at "K104.7," middays for now, happily doing endorsements, events, and watching my kids grow and shine!

Two of them tried out for school dance teams, and made them! In fact, they are the 'stars' of the teams!  I know they wouldn't have done this in NY- but sometimes ''new places…new beginnings,''… the third child took up gymnastics- again something she always wanted to do, and is now about to complete her 'roundoff back handspring!'

Remember that ''first time college kid'' I mentioned? He's transferring midsemester, and is about to attend a D1 school, HERE- at Winthrop University, – as a very much appreciated, Goal Keeper, and will finally be able to attempt the major he'd wanted: The kid that illustrated our best selling book, "Is This Thing On?" will be majoring in Graphic Design, while playing soccer!

The ''graduating child,'' who's birthday is tomorrow, might follow, after she finishes student teaching this semester!  I am truly Blessed.

It all worked out.  That's the message I'm trying to send, is that sometimes we MUST take chances, even if it makes us uncomfortable for a moment- once in a while, we get Lucky!  And when we do? It's Worth the Risk!

I wish you all success, peace, happiness and the freedom to take that risk, if need be.  Call me, if you get cold feet! I can talk and walk you through it!

'Merry and Happy Everything,' to all, Happy Birthday to my daughter Wren, born on Christmas, and 'thank you' to my whole family for risking all, on a 'leap of faith!'

What a half a' year!
