Little Black Dress, or What’s Underneath?

August 30, 2009 //  by Robin//  Leave a Comment

What's Underneath that dress?
What's Underneath that dress?

This video was originally meant for  Moms that felt like they were ‘stuck in a rut.’  You work all week, wind up on the fields at your kids’ games all weekend, and this is what you daydream about. Morphing into a Victoria’s Secret kinda’ girl!  We all have it in us to do it… it’s just getting up the nerve to follow through.

As it turns out, men like this video too! I think the main reason, is that they can picture their own wives doing this as well, … or they WISH their wives would do this.  So, why not try it? Go in the closet, and take out your littlest black dress… just remember, it’s not the DRESS.  It’s what’s Underneath the dress, that really matters. 😉

Cracking Gum.

August 30, 2009 //  by Robin//  Leave a Comment

How annoying can you be?
How annoying can you be?

There are a few things that REALLY annoy me. Spitting in public, boys wearing their pants down around their knees, young girls letting their thongs show above the pant line,  people that listen with the intent of just getting their thoughts in, which means they’re not really listening, Ipods that allow ME to hear the song while the ear buds are in someone else’s ears, …jeeze…I didn’t know I had so many to list until I got started!…, wait there’s more… How ’bout texting while I’m talking to you, promising me something that will never come to fruition, people that talk out of both sides of their mouths, bullying, talking loudly on your cell while on the train and most of all- people that CRACK THEIR DAMN GUM!!!

Call me neurotic, call me what you will, but all of these things are due to a lack of respect for one another. So if you can’t chew your gum quietly, don’t SPIT it out on the sidewalk- take a piece of scrap paper wrap it up and throw it out. We don’t need to  step in YOUR GARBAGE and have it STICK.

How do Kids Fail a Urine Test?

August 28, 2009 //  by Robin//  9 Comments

My Kids FAILED!
My Kids FAILED!

I took my kids to the Middle School for their physicals last night.  This, is in order for them to be on the Cheerleading Squad.  They not only failed the urine test once, but TWICE!  I find out from their friend, who I also took, that while they were in the stalls, they were trying to pass urine back and forth to each other because one COULD pee and one COULDN’T!!  The friend refused, thinking logically…which is obvious that my children don’t have that ‘logic gene’ in their bodies…”what if something’s WRONG with my pee?  They’ll think YOU have a problem too??”

So now I have to take them all back on Monday to do it again!  Ridiculous.  I tried to talke them OUT of cheerleading in the first place!

Guy Followed me to Work today.

August 23, 2009 //  by Robin//  Leave a Comment

This stranger kept me safe.
This stranger kept me safe.

I work at Fresh 102.7 in NYC, and one of my shifts is an early shift on Saturdays. Walking to work this morning, a guy starts to follow me… I walk a bit faster, and he yells out to me, “I’m just shadowing you, cause someone just got robbed around here, hope you don’t mind, my name is Joe”, he holds his hand out, I shake it, say ‘thank you’ and he took me all the way to work. So…I wanted to ‘thank him’ in front of all of you, and say that sometimes we have to trust our gut instincts and trust a stranger like Joe.  Here I am, safe and sound, at work, thanks to Joe.

When I mentioned this to my girlfriend, she said I should carry pepperspray.  I told her, “You know me! I don’t need pepper spray. I just need to LOOK at the person with that LOOK.”  Trust me. You’ll know the look when you see it.
