Last Day on the air in NYC

My Last on air NYC Radio shift, is this Sunday, at FRESH 102.7!  I was NOT fired, I’ve Retired!  I’m leaving NYC and moving to Charlotte, NC.  

What an upheaval.  Moving is not easy, in fact it Royally SUCKS!  I’m stuck with Boxes everywhere- dogs, kids, all their friends that suddenly are here EVERY DAMN DAY… I really thought the friends would do a slow ‘disappearing act’ so it wouldn’t be as upsetting as it may be when they go…WRONG- 

I can already imagine the car ride. Tears non stop, till we hit DC.  By that point I won’t know what they’re crying about- missing their friends- or the 100 lb dogs that are sharing the Back Seat! Omg….

All I know is, I’m saying ‘goodbye’ to NYC radio, on Sunday.  Yes, I’ll miss being here.. but I have another agenda! 

I’m first going to get my kids situated.  Then, I’m on the air July 2 in Charlotte!  Do the math – I leave on the 28th, arrive on the 30th, and I’m trained, and ready by July 2! – and NO- there’s not 31 days in this month. We’re talkin’ Cramming. Oye.

I was called by the ‘Pool guy,’ at the new  house,  he said, “the liner is ripped.” I said, “I don’t care WHAT it takes to fix it, just TELL me, I’ll Pay it,…it was my ‘bargaining chip,’ with the kids!”  So I’m praying on that one too.

All in all, I’m busy thinking about how to end my show.  Subtlety is very important to me, but my message has to come across loud and clear.  If you know me- I’ll work that out. 

If for some reason, you miss the show, please know that I love you for your devotion, and I’ll let you know where you can tune in, when I get there!  Keeping it quiet for now, both sides just wanting to make sure it all works out first!  Sunday, 3p-8p, You- Me- and the radio!= www.Fresh1027.com    Let’s BRING it! xoxox

Honestly? Whoa- It was after 11pm while I wrote this, and I actually fell asleep while writing- I think I need to go out by the pool… and forget the boxes for a while.
