My 11 year old has decided she wants to model. Instead of encouraging her, because she’s got the confidence, I try and talk her OUT of it, because I know what it’s like to shlep in and out for the possibililty of getting nothing but rejection. What kind of a mother thinks like this? The Mom of FIVE…and she’s the last one! “ya gotta be kiddin’ me.” See? Even Sponge Bob agrees with me!
I do tell the kids, ‘you must try one new thing every day in order to grow!’ The middle one said she wanted to ‘try and not clean her room for the day.’ I give up.
